As a CFP® Professional, Joe is uniquely qualified to help individuals pull their finances together, solve financial problems, and make a plan to achieve their financial goals. He specializes in retirement planning, investment strategies, and retirement income distribution. His extensive training in mindfulness and compassionate communication helps ensure the financial planning process is a productive and meaningful experience for clients and their families.
Joe is a Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC®) and Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®). He has specialized knowledge in creating steady retirement income, when to claim Social Security, company retirement benefits, and addressing health and long-term care costs. As a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) Joe also consults on retirement plans tailored to the needs of a business and its employees.
Joe began his career as a practicing attorney for over twenty years. He joined Hammond Iles from a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. He previously held positions of Senior Wealth Advisor and Director for KR Wealth Management, and Vice President of Investments for Bank of America / Wells Fargo Advisors Private Bank.
Joe holds a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from University of Connecticut School of Law, and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology from University of Connecticut. He is a lifetime member of Leadership Greater Hartford, past mediator for the Hartford area Court-Annexed Mediation Program, and past adjunct professor at University of Connecticut School of Law. Joe serves on the Board of Directors at Copper Beech Institute in West Hartford, Connecticut, and is a member of their annual fundraising planning committee.
Joe lives in West Hartford, Connecticut with his wife, and has three children. He enjoys hiking, swimming, ballroom dancing, jazz concerts and wine tasting. Joe also avidly trains in the areas of mindfulness and compassionate communications. firstname.lastname@example.org
